Over the centuries, a string of Meuse villages has developed along both banks of the Meuse River. Today, these villages are the perfect starting point for your journey through the RivierPark Maasvallei, as they consistently offer parking, dining options, information signs, and routes to the Meuse and surrounding nature reserves.

If you’re arriving from the N78 or ‘Rijksweg’ on the Flemish side, follow the brown signs to the parking areas. If you’re coming from the A2 on the Dutch side, continue to one of the villages listed below. These villages have also given their names to several well-developed walking areas, with informative walking maps available at tourist information offices in the Maasvallei and through the online store of Wandelen in Limburg.
