Silent boating
Enjoy the peace and quiet in a silent, electric sloop or ‘whispering’ vessel. These electrically powered vessels are noiseless, easy to operate and do not require a boating licence. Be sure to book your boat in advance.

Meuse Clean Up Package
Kayaking companies offer kayakers the opportunity to participate in a clean up of the Meuse. The Meuse Clean Up Package consists of a grabbing stick, dirt bag and gloves that kayakers and rafters can use to collect litter along the way. This is a great way to do your part for a healthier landscape.
The Willemsroute
The Willems Route is a pleasant sailing route along the Zuid-Willemsvaart and Julianakanaal canals for recreational boaters to sail from Weert to Maastricht and vice versa.

Marinas and boat rentals
In the northern part of the River Park (from Ohé and Laak – Aldeneik and higher up), recreational boating is possible on the Meuse. That makes this area a popular holiday destination for boat owners. Swimming in the Meuse
The Meuse is an unpredictable, often turbulent rain river. That is why you cannot swim in the Meuse. In some of the Meuse lakes, however, you can. Here, daytime beaches have been created so you can safely enter the water. You will also find facilities such as a bar, toilets, changing rooms and often a small playground.
