RivierPark Maasvallei stretches north to south across the municipalities of Kinrooi, Maasgouw, Maaseik, Echt-Susteren, Dilsen-Stokkem, Sittard-Geleen, Maasmechelen, Stein, Meerssen, Lanaken and Maastricht. For about 40 km, the Meuse River serves as both the border and a connector between Dutch and Belgian Limburg. Here, you can truly experience cross-border hiking and cycling, either by taking a seasonal ferry across the river or using one of the many bridges.
